Shanghai-Chongqing-Chengdu High-Speed Rail Section Advances in Jiangsu Province

BEIJING, January 2026 — The ongoing development of high-speed rail in China is a pivotal component of its long-term transportation and economic strategy, designed to connect major urban centres and enhance interregional connectivity across the continent.

At present, dedicated construction teams are engaged in the critical beam-laying phase of the Yangzhou segment of the ambitious Shanghai-Chongqing-Chengdu high-speed railway project.
