Jakarta, Indonesia — The 2026 Indonesia Rail Summit (IRS 2026) will be held in Jakarta on 11–12 June 2026 under the theme “Low-Carbon Rail · Intelligent Connection.” The event will bring together policymakers, railway operators, technology providers, and investors from across Southeast Asia to discuss the future of sustainable and intelligent rail transportation.

Held at a pivotal stage in Indonesia’s railway modernization, the summit comes amid the expansion of the Jakarta MRT network, the continued development of the Whoosh High-Speed Rail, and preparations for smart transportation systems in the country’s new capital, IKN. Organizers say IRS 2026 aims to become a strategic platform for regional collaboration, innovation, and investment in the rail sector.

The two-day summit will explore topics including RIPNAS 2030–2045 implementation, AI-powered rail operations, low-carbon infrastructure, metropolitan rail integration, Transit-Oriented Development (TOD), and ASEAN railway cooperation. The program will also include keynote sessions, panel discussions, a technical exhibition, and business matchmaking meetings.

Fadjar Dwi Wishnuwardhani, S.E., M.Si., Deputy IV at the Executive Office of the President of Indonesia (KSP), has been confirmed as a keynote speaker at IRS 2026, where he is expected to share insights on Indonesia’s national transportation strategy and the future direction of railway development.

Other confirmed speakers include Shaun Tan, Head of UITP Asia Pacific, who will highlight Life-Cycle Asset Management, digital O&M platforms, spare parts, localization, and cost optimization; representatives from Thailand’s Department of Rail Transport and the State Railway of Thailand; PT Kereta Cepat Indonesia China (KCIC/Whoosh); and Singapore’s SMRT Corporation. Representatives from Indonesia’s Ministry of Transportation, PT KAI, MRT Jakarta, LRT Jakarta, and other major rail institutions are also expected to attend.

More than 300 delegates from over 15 countries are expected to participate, representing government agencies, rail operators, infrastructure developers, rolling stock manufacturers, signaling providers, financial institutions, and TOD developers.

Registration for IRS 2026 is now open, with delegate access covering the full two-day program, networking sessions, meals, and post-event materials.
