Amritsar-Jammu High-Speed Rail Corridor: NHSRCL Opens Bids for Final Design Survey
DELHI, November 2025 — The National High Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL) has initiated the bidding process for the final alignment design and survey of the proposed 240-kilometre Amritsar–Jammu High-Speed Rail Corridor, marking a major step toward strengthening connectivity between key cities in Northern India.
The tender, valued at approximately ₹5.47 crore, covers detailed work including aerial LiDAR surveys, hydrological studies, and the development of a land acquisition plan. The bidding window is open from November 18 to November 25, 2025, following a pre-bid meeting on November 10, 2025. The contract is scheduled for completion within 180 days from the date of award.
This development underscores India’s continued commitment to expanding its high-speed rail infrastructure, enhancing regional accessibility, and improving passenger mobility. The Amritsar–Jammu corridor is expected to address rising travel demand, stimulate regional economic integration, and streamline connections between major commercial and cultural hubs.
