The Korean railway industry is uniting with academic and research sectors to strengthen its global presence, entering a "golden era." A ceremony was held in Seoul to celebrate the 2025 Railway Day anniversary, emphasising railway safety and the global expansion of "K-railway."

At the event, dignitaries highlighted the importance of railways as key national infrastructure, promoting balanced national development, carbon neutrality, and transportation innovation. They also mentioned the Great Train Express (GTX), a high-speed commuter train, and the upcoming GTX line extensions.

MOLIT presented presidential prizes to individuals for their contributions to the railway industry's development and overseas market exploration. The Vice Minister of MOLIT noted the export of Korean-made high-speed trains to Uzbekistan and a significant metro train export contract to Morocco, marking a new chapter for K-railway.
