BENGALURU, August 2025 — State-owned BEML Limited has secured its first international contract in the rail and metro segment, awarded by Malaysia for retrofit and reconditioning of its Mass Rapid Transit system, in a deal valued at US $1 million. The company formally announced this milestone via a stock exchange filing dated 9 August 2025.

In a related development, BEML recently inaugurated a 0.12-acre warehousing facility within the Karnataka Industrial Areas Development Board (KIADB) Aerospace Special Economic Zone (SEZ) in Bengaluru. The facility is designed to support BEML’s internal logistics while offering warehousing and allied services to OEMs, Tier-1, and Tier-2 partners. Plans are also underway to establish a Centre of Excellence for Aerospace Technologies at the SEZ to promote innovation and advancement in India's defence and aerospace sectors.

BEML operates across three strategic verticals defence and aerospace, mining and construction, and rail and metro supported by advanced manufacturing facilities in Bengaluru, Kolar Gold Fields, Mysore, and Palakkad, along with robust R&D, sales, and service networks.
