Engineering solutions provider Destini Bhd has secured two sub-contracts from SMH Rail Sdn Bhd to overhaul the HVAC systems and brake caliper equipment on 58 electric train sets operating on the MRT1 line. The sub-contracts, awarded through Destini's indirect subsidiary, Trovon Malaysia Sdn Bhd, will span 20 months, commencing in June 2025 and concluding in January 2027.

While the specific financial value of the contracts remains undisclosed, Destini anticipates that these projects will positively influence the group's earnings throughout the financial year ending June 30, 2025, and for the duration of the works. Destini's share price saw a positive movement, closing up 2.5 sen or 6.1% to 43.5 sen on Wednesday.
