Korean Air Partners with SBB to Offer Rail Connections for Seoul-Zurich Passengers

**AUGUST 2025, Seoul** —Korean Air has partnered with Swiss Federal Railways (SBB) to roll out a new “Rail & Fly” program, allowing travelers flying between Seoul-Incheon (ICN) and Zurich (ZRH) to combine flight and train travel under a single booking. This initiative aims to offer greater convenience and flexibility for people traveling to multiple Swiss cities on the same itinerary.

Under the program, combined flight and train tickets can be booked via the Korean Air website or through accredited travel agencies. Passengers flying into Zurich may use the SBB train network either on their arrival day or the following day; similarly, for departures, they can use the train on the day of departure or the day before. Tickets must be issued up to 72 hours prior to the flight’s scheduled departure via the SBB check-in portal, and there is a CHF 5 seat-reservation fee required per person.

The train component provides service between Zurich Airport and key Swiss destinations including Geneva, Basel, Bern, Lausanne, Interlaken, and St. Gallen, giving travelers the ability to continue journeys beyond Zurich without separately arranging train tickets.

This launch is part of Korean Air’s broader strategy to strengthen its Swiss operations. The airline recently reopened its Zurich office and now operates three weekly nonstop flights between Zurich and Seoul-Incheon. These flights are scheduled on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.

In addition, Korean Air already operates similar air-rail ticketing arrangements for other European destinations such as combining flights with Deutsche Bahn services for Frankfurt and offering connections to Eurostar from Amsterdam via Brussels or Antwerp. This Swiss Rail & Fly service completes a growing network of integrated air + rail travel options designed for smoother, more connected travel.
