The Rapid Transit System Bureau of Taichung City has awarded a NT$60.8bn turnkey contract to an international consortium, including Alstom, Hyundai Rotem, CTCI, and ST Engineering, to deliver rolling stock, electrical systems, and signalling for the new MRT Blue Line, a major step in Taichung’s urban development and sustainable mobility strategy.
